    SCC Formation Day: “Small Church Communities Making a Difference in Parishes” at Incarnation Parish Center in Centerville, Ohio, USA.
 
    The Archdiocese of Cincinnati Small Church Communities Formation Team will host a SCC Formation Day entitled:  Small Church Communities Making a Difference in Parishes on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 8:30 am-3:00 pm at Incarnation Parish Center, Centerville OH.  The presentation will be presented by a small group from Detroit MI who have worked with Fr. Art Baranowski.  Theresa Doyle has 18 years of working with SCC and recruits, trains and supports facilitators.  Bill and Barb Suliot and Carol and Larry Birch have many years of working with small groups experiencing the ups and downs and the need to understand the essential elements of SCC.  Reservations are required.  The cost of $25 includes continental breakfast and lunch; $20 for groups of 3 or more from the same parish.  Contact the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, 513-421-3131 or www.catholiccincinnati.org/oec/Upcoming_Event.htm for reservations and information.

National Ministry Summit – Orlando, FL
The Emerging Models of Pastoral Leadership Project conducted surveys and symposia to collect data on parish vitality and held a National Ministry Summit to consider what has been learned from the research and to begin to develop recommendations for actions. Among the 1,300 participants, four from the Archdiocese of Hartford who participated were: Deacon Bob Pallotti (Office of the Diaconate), Fr. Tom Sas (Ministry Enrichment for Priests Committee), Mary Marson (Office of Religious Education) and Brother Bob Moriarity, S.M.

Alice Camille
 
She is an author, religious educator, parish retreat leader.  She has worked in parishes, campus ministry supervised a shelter for homeless women, and active in ecumenical settings.  Writes monthly commentary, “Exploring the Sunday Readings”, collaborates on a homily series, and regular contributor to numerous magazines, and articles in numerous magazines.  She focuses on “putting the pieces of faith and life together”, in parish life/community/among young and old alike.
 
Fr. Bob Beloin
 
He is a Catholic Chaplain at Yale University.  He brings a wonderful perspective of new life to all that he does.  The vision of connecting life and faith through SCC’s are doing things differently have become a mainstay of life on campus, and find their way into the larger community.  He is a priest of the Hartford Archdiocese, and one of the founding members of NAPRC–a Board member for many years.  He brings much expereince of relating to young people in their faith formation, as well as much experience in parish life.
